What is Juvéderm® Injectable Gel?
Juvéderm® is an injectable gel that is clear and colorless. It is comprised of hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally hydrating substance found in the body that helps skin retain its moisture and softness. As we age, sunlight and other factors can reduce the amount of HA in our skin. This lack of HA causes skin to lose structure and volume.
Using a dermal filler like Juvéderm is a safe and effective way to bring back skin’s volume. Juvederm contains a small quantity of a local anesthetic to reduce injection-site discomfort. It’s the first FDA-approved HA dermal filler that is proven to be safe and effective for persons of color.
The Juvéderm injection process takes only about 15 minutes and results are immediate. There is minimal recovery or downtime so you can step into into our office for treatment and step right back into your life.
